Kor graduated from Covenant Seminary in May of 1999 with his M.Div. degree and returned to the Netherlands, his homeland. After an internship, he was ordained in October of 2002. He met his wife, Evelien, at the office of Voice of the Martyrs in the Netherlands. They got married in May 2002.
Since October 2002 Kor has been the pastor of a Dutch reformed church (Nederlands Gereformeerde Kerk). The church is located just above Amsterdam in a small town called Oostzaan. This area was formerly communistic and is therefore particularly resistant to the Gospel.
In order to better reach the community and strengthen the faith of believers, small groups were started within the church in 2004. In the future, the church would like to have special services for seekers and to be more open for community use. Please pray for Kor and Evelien and the believers in Oostzaan that their various outreaches would be well received, as a sweet fragrance of the knowledge of Christ.

I thank God for giving me the opportunity to serve Him. I have been pasturing the church of Oostzaan (www.ngk.nl/oostzaan) for four years now. I have worked here with great pleasure. It does not mean I did not face difficulties, but it means that I consider it to be a great privilege to serve the Lord in this town.
Our church is working hard right now to reach out to the community. We have been inviting a lot of people to celebrate Christmas with us. I would appreciate your prayers for this. May the Lord work in the heart of our visitors and convince them of the truth of the gospel.
Next month we hope to start with the Alpha-course. I am really looking forward to teach and preach the gospel to those who do not know the Lord. We will invite them to take the Alpha-course at the Christmas service. I would appreciate your prayers for this as well.
Evelien and I are thankful for all our blessings. We are thankful for our children Mischa and Yente (who was born the 6th of September 2006).
