PMI Scholars

PMI Scholars are potential PMI missionaries who are pursuing theological education to further their projected ministries. They are full-time students at either Covenant Seminary or an approved institution subsequent to graduation from Covenant Seminary.

Anyone wanting to financially support these students and their families during this time of intensive study may direct gifts to the PMI Scholars Fund.

Gustavo FormentiGustavo Formenti enrolled in the M.Div. program at Covenant Seminary in January 2005. He is from Goiania, Brazil where he has been involved as an intern with the Colloquium ministry of PMI missionaries Luciano and Luciene Pires. Gustavo hopes to graduate in 2008 and return to Brazil to assist Colloquium. (gustavoformenti@hotmail.com)

Gyuri SuhaiGyuri Suhai (Gyuri) is an international 2nd year M.Div. student at Covenant Seminary. He was raised in Hungary and got saved through a Calvinist preacher 11 years ago. In 2003, he got involved in the ministry of his dear friends Rob and Tunde Futo (PMI Missionaries to Hungary). While working as Rob's assistant, Gyorgy felt compelled to come to Covenant Seminary so that he could go back to Hungary better equipped to serve his people. (suhaigyorgy@yahoo.com)

Seima AoyagiSeima Aoyagi was born in Japan and grew up in a typical Buddhist family without any Christian influence. A Christian friend in high school led him to Christ in 1992. An MTW missionary from the Chiba/Tokyo team persuaded him to work with them in a new college ministry. Seima entered the ministry and three months later was elected as an elder of his church. Seima and his wife Naoko have three children: Senri, Towa, and Satoki. (aoyagi@sky.zero.ad.jp)

Rory McClureRory McClure was born in Bogota, Colombia to British parents and has travelled widely. God finally humbled him and he gave his life to Christ at the start of 2000, joined a great church, got involved in a church plant and met a great woman. He and Val married in 2004. They have two boys, Isaac and John. Shortly after coming to faith, Rory developed a passion for evangelism and later got involved in lay preaching. Given the huge apathy to the gospel in post-moderrn, post-Christian England, Rory wanted the best possible training, so he came to Covenant Seminary. The McClures plan to return to England as church planters. (rorymcclure@mac.com)
